A participatory space exploring identity, heritage, and resistance through weaving and embroidery

with Weaving Labs

Weaving Labs is a participatory project rooted in the intersections of textile, memory, identity, and collective storytelling. It starts to form with community workshops where weaving and embroidery are used not only as craft techniques, but as cultural tools to explore personal and political narratives.

The lab format emphasizes experimentation, learning, and co-creation. Participants are invited into a welcoming space where tradition is not preserved in stillness but reimagined in motion.

Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own fabric or textiles of preference. Let’s create something together - slowly, thoughtfully, and with care.

Whether you’re experienced or just curious, this is an open space to weave, embroider, connect, and share stories through threads.

Everyone is welcome. Drop by, stay a while, and weave with us at Basecamp for tactical imaginaries on April 24 from 15:00 until 18:00.

Later on you are all welcome to stay and enjoy voku dinner thanks to the. b.ASIC a.CTIVIST k.ITCHEN.
