Young Revolt : Research (groundwork)

research drinks & reading exchange
organized by Raidan Baqi and Farah K.

We want to build a political action group working toward structural societal change (revolution) and a brighter future for everyone. We will research how to gain more support from the everyday person and use each member's specialties to create meaningful actions. We will start with small readers to get everyone going, then research in our own ways, whether through reading, painting, zines, films, or interviews. Groups will form naturally around each person's specialty, and we will share and discuss our findings to help each other process them.

Our goal is to become more aware of societal problems and how to change them, starting at the root. In the first half year, we will focus on theory and turn it into output, such as artwork and zines, that we present to a familiar audience first and exchange among ourselves to see what sticks. After that, we will put our research, feedback, and artistic skills into focused political actions around the city, to better understand and connect with our communities and make people more open to structural change.

We will shape the group around your wishes and what is feasible for everyone, so we are starting slowly in October. This meeting is mainly for getting to know each other and our ideas, and for seeing whether you can make room for this in your life. Please think about what is important for making this group work and write it down for us.
