NOISE TRANSMISSION DEVICE

NOISE TRANSMISSION DEVICE is a circuit bending workshop developed by Zedde Francesco and the b.ASIC a.CTIVIST k.ITCHEN. This event is part of the Open Kitchen Weekender.

This workshop offers both a practical and theoretical introduction to modern experimental music. The accompanying talk will provide historical examples and an overview of the musical context surrounding circuit-bending practices. Topics such as noise music and radical improvisation will be covered through a set of guidelines designed to connect participants with the process of creating an affordable, original musical instrument capable of complex and steerable sound synthesis.

The workshop is open to enthusiasts of electronic music, noise, pedals, musicians and non-musicians alike, as well as engineers and electronic music geeks. No prior experience or skill is required—everyone is welcome.

A maximum of 10 participants can join this workshop. Please e-mail info@bakonline.org if you want to join.
