Ovidiu Tichindeleanu

filosoof en cultuurtheoreticus, Cluj en Chisinau

Ovidiu Ţichindeleanu (geboren 1976) is filosoof en cultureel theoreticus. Na studie in filosofie in Cluj, Straatsburg en Binghamton, promoveerde hij in 2008 in de filosofie met het proefschrift The Graphic Sound. An Archeology of Sound, Technology and Knowledge at 1900, momenteel in voorbereiding voor publicatie in het Engels. Hij is redacteur van het tijdschrift Idea Arts + Society en coördinator van de Panopticon Collection van de IDEA uitgeverij. Daarnaast is hij lid van de Decolonial Thinking onderzoeksgroep aan Binghamton University, New York en medeoprichter van het Roemeense Indymedia platform. Recente publicaties zijn, onder andere: Romanian Revolution Televised. Contributions to the Cultural History of Media (red., met Konrad Petrovszky, 2009) en The Anticommunist Illusion (red., met Vasile Ernu, Costi Rogozanu en Ciprian Şiulea, 2008). Ţichindeleanu woont en werkt in Cluj.
