Op zondag 13 januari 2019 vindt er een nieuwe Culturele Zondag plaats: de welbekende Nieuwjaarsduik. Op deze dag is de tentoonstelling Forensic Justice gratis te bezoeken van 10.00 tot 20.00 uur. De tentoonstelling is nog maar tot en met 27 januari 2019 te zien, dus grijp je kans!
Forensic Justice is de eerste overzichtstentoonstelling in Nederland van het Londense Forensic Architecture. De kunstenaars, wetenschappers, juristen, filmmakers en architecten van Forensic Architecture doen over de hele wereld onafhankelijk onderzoek naar schendingen van mensenrechten en natuur. Uniek aan hun praktijk is dat het resultaat van hun werk door Amnesty International en de VN wordt gebruikt als bewijsmateriaal in rechtszaken, maar tegelijkertijd ook te zien is in kunstinstellingen en -manifestaties. Deze organisaties dienen als een belangrijk publiek forum voor de verspreiding van het werk van Forensic Architecture.
Forensic Architecture is genomineerd voor de Turner Prize 2018. In 2018 ontving Forensic Architecture de Princess Margriet Award for Culture van de European Cultural Foundation.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.
