BAK, basis voor actuele kunst presenteert de publicatie Report (Not Announcement). Ter gelegenheid van de boekpresentatie zal er een gesprek plaatsvinden met kunstenaar en curator Delphine Bedel (Amsterdam) en de kunstenaars Amalia Pica (Amsterdam), Andrea Schneemeier (Research-in-Residence Utrecht) en Igor Sevcuk (Utrecht). Aansluitend zijn er hapjes en drankjes, waarmee eveneens de tentoonstelling Unevenly, te zien bij BAK sinds 23 april 2006, wordt afgesloten. De voertaal deze middag is Engels en het evenement is gratis toegankelijk.
Report (Not Announcement) is een project van BAK in samenwerking met e-flux (electronic flux corporation). Het Report bestaat uit verhalen en documenten, met name verslagen, aangeleverd door kunstenaars, curatoren en critici die reflecteren op hun eigen ontologische staat vanuit de overgangszone van vertrekken en aankomen, het ‘niet-thuishoren’, en de ‘onderbreking’. Onder de omstandigheden van versnelde mobiliteit en de daardoor afgebakende grenzen, verkent Report (Not Announcement) het potentieel van de bijkomstigheden van het constante reizen en verplaatsen van internationale culturele producenten.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.
