Op 25 november 2018 verschijnt het Jaarboek 2018. Het Jaarboek is 248 pagina’s dik dit keer, en gevuld door een keur aan auteurs. De onderwerpen van de bijdragen zijn divers: van een fragment van een elfde-eeuws missaal (Kaj van Vliet) tot Utrechtse kerkklokken tijdens de beginjaren van de Opstand (Bram van den Hoven van Genderen). En van het werk van de beeldhouwer Jacobus Cressant (Dennis de Kool) tot de geschiedenis van muziekwalhalla RASA (Jeanneke den Boer). In totaal leverden twaalf auteurs tien rijk geïllustreerde bijdragen.
Hoofdredacteur Wilbert Smulders introduceert de inhoud van het jaarboek 2018. Een van de schrijvers, Jeanneke den Boer, die het archief van Rasa beheert, verhaalt daarna over de geschiedenis van Rasa en wereldmuziek in Utrecht. Het programma is divers, met een presentatie, met filmbeelden van Rasa, en met wereldmuziek.
Jeanneke den Boer was directeur Rasa Utrecht, programmaleider Wereldfeest Utrecht en projectleider van culturele uitwisselingsprogramma’s met Marokko en Zuid-Afrika. Sinds 2008 is ze directeur van Culture Connection.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.

Different strategies, tools, methodologies, and contexts are explored to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in the practices and theories of community kitchens.
