De New World Summit installatie bij BAK bestaat uit:

New World Summit—Rojava, Part I
Oktober 2015, Derîk, Cezîre Canton, Rojava

Documentatie van het eerste deel van de New World Summit in Rojava, waar vertegenwoordigers van het Democratische Zelfbestuur van Rojava bijeenkwamen met afgevaardigden van andere stateloze en autonomistische bewegingen van over de hele wereld. Deze bijeenkomst maakte deel uit van een internationale delegatie naar Rojava die georganiseerd werd ter ere van de start van de bouw van een nieuw openbaar parlement dat ontwikkeld is door de New World Summit en het Democratische Zelfbestuur van Rojava.

Rojava Film Commune
Interviews met vertegenwoordigers van de Rojava Film Commune (Diyar Hesso, Onder Çakar, Şéro Hindé en Khwshman Qado), een filmmakerscollectief dat in 2015 is opgericht met het doel de waarden en idealen van de revolutie in Rojava uit te dragen. De muurprint laat een vertoning van de film The Kid (1921) van Charlie Chaplin zien, die de Rojava Film Commune organiseerde in het cultuurcentrum van de stad Qamiişlo.

Abdullah Abdul & Masun Hamo
Interviews met kunstenaars Abdullah Abdul en Masun Hamo, die in hun ruimtelijke werk de verloren gegane en geplunderde historische sites van Mesopotamie reconstrueren, wat wordt beschouwd als de geboorteplaats van de Koerdische geschiedenis, politiek en cultuur.

People’s Parliament Rojava
2015–2016, Derîk, Cezîre Canton, Rojava

Ontwerpen, fotodocumentatie en een maquette van een nieuw openbaar parlementsgebouw en het park eromheen, ontwikkeld door de New World Summit en het Democratische Zelfbestuur van Rojava. Het parlement heeft de vorm van een agora, een publieke ruimte die de idealen van de Rojava-revolutie en het praktiseren van stateloze democratie weerspiegelt. De zeildoeken die het parlement bekleden zijn vormgegeven naar fragmenten van de vlaggen van alle lokale organisaties die samen de kern van het politieke zelfbestuur vormen: the Movement for a Democratic Society (Tev-Dem); the Democratic Union Party (PYD); the Syriac Union Party (SUP); Star Union of Women (Yekiîtîiya Star); the Rojava Democratic Youth Union (YCR), en de vlag van de autonome regio Rojava zelf. Het parlement wordt ingewijd met een tweede summit in april 2016.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.

Different strategies, tools, methodologies, and contexts are explored to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in the practices and theories of community kitchens.
