Sessie II:
Collective Struggle of Refugees. Lost. In Between. Together.

Deze sessie wordt geleid door Yoonis Osman Nuur en Thomas, leden van Wij Zijn Hier, een politieke organisatie van circa 200 uitgeprocedeerde vluchtelingen die collectief strijden voor verblijfsrecht en publieke aandacht voor hun situatie. Deze sessie richt zich op het voorstel van Wij Zijn Hier voor het oprichten van een nieuwe coöperatie: een gedeeld gebouw waarin kunstenaars en vluchtelingen samen leven en werken.

De deelnemers aan deze sessie richten zich op de ontwikkeling van het voorstel van Wij Zijn Hier tot het oprichten van een coöperatie van vluchtelingen en kunstenaars. De projecten Silent University (Ögüt), X et Y c. Préfet de… Plaidoirie pour une jurisprudence (Bernier & Martin) en Immigrant Movement International (Bruguera) zijn hierbij voorbeelden van concrete casussen waarbinnen nieuwe definities van burgerschap zijn ontwikkeld.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.

Different strategies, tools, methodologies, and contexts are explored to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in the practices and theories of community kitchens.
