Tijdens Utrecht Centraal wordt de gehele breedte van de Utrechtse muziekscene in het zonnetje gezet. Geniet van muziek in alle soorten en maten op een even zo divers aantal locaties in de binnenstad van Utrecht.
De komende twee jaar is de van oorsprong Russische Maya Fridman in residentie bij Gaudeamus. Ze is een ware master op de cello, ze kan en speelt alles: klassiek, pop, (gothic) rock, folk, jazz, nieuwe muziek of flamenco. Haar veelzijdigheid staat centraal in dit concert, waarin Maya op haar cello voor muzikaal vuurwerk gaat zorgen samen met vrienden van over de hele wereld: Arezoo Rezvani (Santur), Farid Sheek (Daf), Helena Basilova (piano/klassiek), Gayle Skidmore (singersongwriter), Jochem Braat (piano/jazz) en Robin Coops en Eric Magnee (Human 2.0).

Dit programma wordt georganiseerd door Gaudeamus. Gaudeamus presenteert, organiseert, stimuleert en ondersteunt de nieuwste muziek van jonge muziekpioniers. Al 70 jaar maakt Gaudeamus zich hard voor muziekpioniers wereldwijd, biedt hen een ontwikkelplek en podium en brengt zo de muziek van morgen bij nieuwsgierige muziekliefhebbers. Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.

Different strategies, tools, methodologies, and contexts are explored to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in the practices and theories of community kitchens.
