Op donderdag 5 april 2018 opent BAK ook in de avond haar deuren voor de tentoonstelling Matthijs de Bruijne: Compromiso Político, met ook werk van Jeremy Deller, Piero Gilardi en Mierle Laderman Ukeles (te zien t/m 15 april). Deze avond geven zowel de curator van de tentoonstelling, Matteo Lucchetti, als kunstenaar en 2017/2018 BAK fellow Matthijs de Bruijne een rondleiding door de tentoonstelling. Je kunt je voor een van deze rondleidingen aanmelden door een bericht te sturen aan steffie@bakonline.org.
De tentoonstelling is deze dag geopend van 13.00 tot 21.00 uur. Iedere bezoeker krijgt vanaf 18.00 uur bij binnenkomst een gratis drankje. Om 18.30 geeft curator Matteo Lucchetti samen met kunstenaar Matthijs de Bruijne een duorondleiding en om 19.30 is er een rondleiding door kunstenaar Matthijs de Bruijne. Ook in de avond gelden de reguliere entreeprijzen, maar deelname aan een van de rondleidingen is gratis. Er is een beperkt aantal plaatsen beschikbaar, dus meld je van tevoren aan om een plek te verzekeren.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.
