Storytelling Basecamp is a creative training program that empowers people with migration backgrounds—especially women and gender-diverse individuals—to reclaim their narratives through the art of storytelling. By offering tools for expression and connection, the project fosters empathy, challenges harmful stereotypes, and builds inclusive communities.
12 people with a migration background—broadly defined, including second-generation migrants—have been selected by open call and will engage in trainings from May through to October 2025. This is the first session.
New Women Connectors believes storytelling is a powerful way to bridge cultural divides, create shared understanding, and amplify voices that are too often unheard. Through personal stories, participants explore identity, healing, and advocacy—locally and beyond.
