Sculpting Our Stories: Queer Clay Circle

Join us for a queer clay workshop and conversation among BIPOC trans and queer fellows!

This month’s safer space meeting will feature a special ceramic workshop hosted by Farbod Ceramics. Queer and trans people of color are invited to craft hand-built mugs that reflect personal and collective narratives. What shapes your sense of home? What memories live in your hands? What symbols of culture, survival, or joy do you carry?

Through clay, we’ll explore themes of cultural identity, memory, and belonging, transforming feeling into form, story into structure. Whether you’re drawing from ancestral traditions, childhood objects, migration journeys, or visions of queer futures, this is a space to create something meaningful—with and for community.

No prior experience is needed—just curiosity, care, and a willingness to share space. Your finished mug will be fired and glazed, ready for everyday use—a reminder that art and memory live in our daily rituals.
